Merry Christmas!

Even though I'm flying off to sunny California in T-minus 8 hours, these snowy Hermes ads are really getting me in the Christmas spirit.

Lonny Mag

This is my favorite page from the new online issue of Lonny Mag. These pictures are sure to show up on the design blogosphere in no time. The feature on Kate Spade is especially adorable.

Fur Vests

It's been so cold lately – I wish I had a little fur vest to keep me warm.

Prada Lips

Everyone is rocking red lips lately. This might be my new winter work look.

Model Switch

Tyra pulled a switcheroo this week by reassigning the models' ethnicities. I can't decide if it was kinda cool or just kinda racist. Either way, the photos turned out pretty well.

Dreams

I thought things like this only happen in dreams. See more at photographer Elisabeth Toll's web site.

Advanced Style

My roommate sent me a blog – Advanced Style – about senior citizen's wondeful and wacky looks. I have a major soft spot for octogenarians, so, of course, I loved it and thought of my own stylish grandparents. Since I've already written about my grandmother (Nonie), I thought I'd post some photos of my grandfather. He's the tall, impeccable dresser with black-rimmed glasses.

Yankee Girls

In honor of the Yankee play-off game tonight, I've got a little question for you: Which player has the hotter girlfriend?

Whenever I'm feeling sad or less-than-wonderful, I look at this picture, and I feel better.

Fall Look

I'm thinking about: plaid shirts, curly hair, red lips.

Teen Reading

I have the pop culture sensibilities of a teenage girl: High School Musical (Zac Efron = dreamy), Gossip Girl, Glee, and the list goes on. So imagine my surprise and extreme delight when I went to B&N tonight to pick up a copy of Twilight (alas, I swore this day would never come), and I saw The Teen Vogue Handbook. I glanced at the woman stocking Lauren Conrad's L.A. Candy but decided the Handbook looked like more fun. For $25 I can't say I'm willing to buy it yet – plus, I have no place to store it in my closet-sized bedroom. But Amazon sells it for $15, so I might make space between Domino: The Book of Decorating and Colin Cowie Chic.

**UPDATE: My lovely BF bought this book as a surprise after seeing it on my blog! He's the best.

Friday Blues

On this gray and gloomy day, all I want is a swimming pool and blue skies...
