Summer Friday

After many work projects, a hectic move, and a sofa hunting expedition in Southampton, I'm taking a much-needed Summer Friday tomorrow. Now I just need to decide what to do.

The Old Guard

As a web editor, it's hard for me to believe some journalists still cling to analog. But there was W editor-at-large Lynn Hirschberg in the New York Observer today quoted about her archaic habits.

"I'm going to buy an iPad! I'm going to buy an iPad! I don't have a computer, so this is a big moment for me," continued Ms. Hirschberg.

And how does she write her stories now without a computer?

"I don't type them," said Ms. Hirschberg. "I give a handwritten copy to someone who types them, who I pay."

The Arcade Fire

After a few listens to the new Arcade Fire album, I've found my new favorite song of the summer. It's a little long but worth the listen. Think Blondie's Heart of Glass – part deux.
