Fendi s/s 11
My favorite holiday is 4th of July. And my new favorite color combo is red + white + blue. Thanks, Karl.

A Wardrobe That Works
I never noticed her when I worked at the Hearst building, but Harper's Bazaar's senior fashion market editor Joanna Hillman looks seriously cute basically every day of the week. Or at least that's what it seems like in this photo gallery of her outfits over the last 30 days. I'm already more inspired to wear heels.

Baby Fanning
After all my high hopes, Sophia Coppola's Somewhere left me feeling a little...empty. The only bright spot: Elle Fanning. She warmed up every dull and meaningless scene she was in. It was hard to remember she's only 12 years old!

The Long of It
I've avoided maxi dresses and ankle-skimming skirts for many seasons now. But this swinging Louis Vuitton fringe dress is something I can actually picture hanging among my minis.

The Most Important Photo of My New York Life
Tomorrow is the day I finally become a real New Yorker.
I'm getting an NY state driver's license, since my Cali one is about to expire. And of course I've given a lot of thought to how I should do my hair in the new photo (the old one still pictures the 16-year-old version of me).
If I want to get fancy, maybe I'll try this woven braid look from Alexander McQueen spring 2011.

Come Wind, Rain, or Snow
I'm mentally preparing myself to face mountains of snow when I fly back to NYC tomorrow. It would be a lot easier to do if I had some Burberry fur to keep me warm.
